Popiah, 薄饼

薄饼

Popiah also known as 薄饼 (sometimes also referred to as 潤餅 ren--bing) is one of my favorite food!
It is originated in China and it has many variation fried or non-fried.
It is like a Chinese version of crepe but much much thinner,
usually cut into slices so that we can eat it neatly with chopsticks!
----------

Basically, it is a roll filled with mainly veggies together with a sweet soy paste,
Veggies such as Turnip, Lettuce, Parsley, Bean Sprout,Crispy Bit (peanuts), Eggs, Carrot Slices....
Don't worry, I know how the ingredients scares the carnivore out there
but fear not, it doesn't taste bad at all!!
----------

Without further ado, let me introduce to you my $2.00 popiah/roll!

Looking good huh?  ^.^

QIJI has been one of my most frequent place for quick bite!
It is definitely not something foreign to most of us,
It is a Hala-Certified dining place, conveniently located over 11 outlets across Singapore!
They serve a variety of  food as well, from Nasi Lemak to Mee Siam and even chee cheong fan!
I enojoyed most of their food but i love their sweet popiah most! (:
$2 for a roll not the cheapest deal but it's definitely worth a try!
