Department of Caffeine (D.O.C)

Department of Caffeine (D.O.C)

Hey folks, it's me again, finally gonna post some overdue cafe-hopping reviews
Alright so I popped by DOC a few weeks back, on a weekday~
I have started working so pardon me I will prolly update this space less often but fear not there will always be new cafes review ^^
It's located around Duxton Road, pretty easy to walk past this place without noticing the signboard which is practically almost black~

& yes, there will be Dinner Menu at D.O.C yayy
FYI for those who are not aware, DOC used to served from only Morning to Evening so this is definitely a good news for the working adults to come here after their work!

I was pretty upset that they don't serve the Pulled Pork Burger which was strike off in the menu
they have a few items that was crossed out on the men, :(
So we decide to go with the usual~
So here is what we ordered:

First of all, the Caffe Mocha ($5.50), my friends ordered this & she said it was good.
Not a fan but I guess, looking at the latter art & the name of this cafe, they specialise in coffee.
Love those ceramic cups
-----
1. Smoked Salmon Scramble Egg ($15.50)
Salmon atop of a bed of scrambled egg on a toast and a side of romaine lettuce for salad.
It's was pretty okay, nothing too fancy. There was generous amount of scrambled eggs!

-----
2. Baked Beans & Sausage ($16.00)
This taste so familiar, their handmade baked beans taste a lot like the one I had at Drury Lane!
I can't decide which is better! But to be honest the toast they used was a little hard for me imo,
I'll prefer the whole-grained toast at Drury Lane hands down!
On a side note, DOC gave a really generous amount of baked beans---below the sunny side egg!
I love bake beans!!
baked beans!!
More beans (taste somewhat like tomato bolognese sauce too ^^)
Had 2 big sausages! whoopp it was pretty good! A little pepperish taste this is kind of similar to the ones I had at SPR MKT too!! hahaahaha
cafe hopping gives you the occasional deja vu feeling
like hey I think I ate this before (but of course presented in a different manner!)

Overall, I would say this is a good place to come, worth a try but I am really hoping for the pulled pork burger, but it's not in the menu anymore >.<
They have waffles too, heard that it's pretty good here, give it a try and let me know what you feel!
Might go back to try their waffles someday! ^^
Prices stated in the menu is the nett priced so y'all don't have to worry about the tax & service charge!!

xx
