FABULOUS BAKER BOY

FABULOUS BAKER BOY

What better ways to spent it with your friends over some cakes & being close to nature.

Since there was 3 of us, we decided to each have different cake flavour to try.
Well, from the picture you can't really distinguish between which is which,
So let me enlighten you:

We had: Apple Cider x The Humming Bird x Raspberry Lemon

Honestly, it was good.
I love cakes that are moist and tall (fat layers)...

There was quite a variety of cakes in the store & we are kind of spoilt for choices because all of them looked so good y'know!

Okay so i got The Humming Bird!
Just like what the guy told me in the store, it was somewhat like a "english" version of Carrot Cake.
& i love the combination of banana with pecan so yummeh! ^^

Next, Raspberry Lemon! It was a really unique one.
Definitely worth a try if you're a fan of berries!
With a little lemony touch to it as well!

& Lastly, The Apple Cider
This is for apple lover who doesn't want their cake too heavy!

Overall, I am rather satisfied with the cakes here.
Really moist & if you're looking at dining outdoor this is the place!
It was really hot day though, we came here about 2pm
it was so hot & humid!
Maybe coming here in the late afternoon would be a better choice!
What's more this place isn't that crowded compared to most cafes I have been to.
Definitely a place I would recommend for some desserts! (:
Although the cakes might taste pretty similar after a while
(possibly due to the cream cheese which is on every cake!)

Prices range from &8-9 per slice of cake
A little on the higher end but worth the try!
Nearest MRT station at Clarke Quay!

Look how thick the slices are!!

RsStore & KiKi Cafe

ReStore & KiKi Cafe

A quiet cafe to spent your afternoon reading or catching up with your friends.
Decorated with furniture & shelves of books & some indie songs
----------
Sandwich

Waffle with Banana, Almond Flakes with Choco Sauce
Honestly felt that the portion was too small ($9.80 ) & the waffle was not fluffy enough
quite disappointed

Lemon Bundt Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream
This is one of my fav here
it is quite a small slice but definitely worth the try!!

It's a quaint cafe where they sell vintage furniture and even books.
Got myself the Classic Jane Eyre Book at only $9!
This is a place to come for high tea & some small treats.
Love those pretty porcelain plates they have here.

Next, we decided to hop over to KiKi Cafe!
It was totally unplanned but we happened to see it so, in we go.
We had to wait before we got our seats.

We ordered Mont Blanc

It was a really dense cake, not my kind of cake i would say.
The presentation of the cakes here are quite exquisite.
& the price ranges about $8 to $10 per slice.
Ambiance is good but the slice of each cake is quite small in my opinion.
----------
The  other half of the shop was occupied by The Little Drom Store
where they sell quirky items but rather pricey.
---------

Overall, it's a good concept to have the store selling cakes and the other selling merchandise
but when the shop is crowded, seem to me that more tables & chair would be a more practical choice.
