So what's on the inside?

Dollar Pancakes + Vanilla Ice cream with Coconut + peaches + strawberries + banana + lychees + raisins  

and a shot of maple at the side.

Dollar pancakes means small pancakes, 3/4 size of my palm~

Honestly, its quite filing for tea.

Better to have this for brunch and you can request for additional maple if you need to yeah~

A simple fruity & pancake treat :)

Guess everyone would have heard of this place,

Well, as an macaroon fan, I decided to give this a try.

I have always been curious about how their macaroon taste like since quite sometime back!

So generally they are priced higher than the usual macaroon price.

Each of the below is priced at $3.20 instead of the usual $2.50.

First up, Foret Noire// It is a 66% Dark Choc with brandied cherry.

This is my one of my fav in this x'mas collection~

Love the deep red colour~

Secondly, we have Paradis // Strawberry Marmalade with Grand Marnier Cream.

It's like strawberry jam in the middle~ hee like this too!

Thirdly,  Eden // 64% Dark Choc with caramel.

Love the colour combination but sadly it's not my kind of flavour~

 

Lastly, Angelique // Violet Flower cream with Blackcurrant jelly

it's purple by the way, picture don't do justice~

Din't tats the floral smell but it sure has the blackcurrant jam in the middle! not bad too!

Which is your favourite?

Spent $12-ish for a total of 4 macarons, there's GST for takeaway as well hahahaha.

Back with another awesome cafe that I want to share with you guys!

Really love this place, really peaceful and quiet compared to town area etc.

I mean especially on a Friday, where everyone just goes like TGIF dinner date with their friends...

Where you gotta queue and eat in a noisy environment.

Well, here is it:

Okay honestly, I was like oh okay so here is it & I was wondering why it was so empty

& thinking to myself cause it's probably not 7pm yet~

the view where we sat, looking through the glass window~

   
they serve all day breakfast & took us awhile before deciding what to get...
eggs bene/ eggs royale/ french toast/ toby grandola...
 
the wall where they sell their coffees and tea and even some mugs and t-shirts~

So here is what we ordered:

First up: Toby's Breakfast $18.50

you can choose either poached or scrambled eggs, decided to go on scrambled eggs.

Quite a generous portion of eggs/ bacon stripes/ tomatoes/ sauteed mushrooms/ a slice of brioche!

I love the little herb that is swirling on top of the eggs! idk what that is but sure is rlly flavorful!

I was honestly feeling quite full after eating half the portion! the bacon was a little tad salty

but for the generous portion it's really reasonably priced!! Thumbs up!

Next, D ordered Eggs Royale $16.50

It looked really exquisite, like how there is a yellow veil across the smoked salmon don't you agree?!

the presentation of it looked really interesting too!

If you're someone who digs at poached eggs give this a try!

not too heavy just the right amount to make you feel full!

look it's so yummy the salmon with the eggs~

I am really starting to fall for these salmon + poached eggs combo~

If you have read my blog post previously on SPR MKT cafe, I have blogged about another Eggs Royale which is really yummy too.

presentation wise, Toby win hands down, taste is quite similar but their choice of bread/bun is different!! Both of them is really worth a try!!

Overall verdict:

Highly recommended foodie by yours truly~

really I mean they serve all day breakfast plus you don't have to worry about being in a too nosiy environment and long waiting queue~

their food was pretty good too! I know they are famous for their coffees but it was about 7pm & I didn't want to have a sleepless night so I didn't try it but I am sure it's one of the reason why many coffee-goers come here!

& it's nett priced again!!! whee what you see is what you pay!!

Not the most convenient place but definitely worth the time to search for!

It is definitely a hidden gem not to be missed~

Back to the CBD Area,
It's quite comforting to know that there is still some quiet cafes out there waiting to be explored,
Don't we all need a peaceful place to rant our thoughts while enjoying the sumptuous food
without having the need to queue & dealing with noisy environment which I experienced with most cafes~

GO Green with Menus on the Chalkboard!

Pretty simple deco, that encompass both dinning & a kitchen ware shopping experience

Heard that this dessert is pretty popular, but we decide to have mains over sweets~

Here's what we had:

1. Sausages & Mash ($16)

had quite a hard time deciding what to get for my dinner, 

the Eggs Benedict, Breakfast Set and Wed Special Pork Burger caught my attention,

But I decide to go for something not too heavy so I got Sausages & Mash!

You can choose either Pork or Beef for the sausages~

Of course, I decided to get one of each.

I ate the salad first, which is pretty okay not too much dressing on the salad,

I like my salad light~

& I really gotta mention that their pork sausages was really flavorful! Really delicious!

As for the beef, it's good as well, but beef naturally tend to be more dry than pork.

so I would prefer the pork for being just the right moist level~

Mash potatoes below, was somewhat like a garlic & herb rendition, 

unexpectedly flavorful as well!

Loving this dish & it's not very heavy for dinner & the pork is one of the better sausuages I have ate~!

& Here's to the BEST TRUFFLE FRIES with Kelp ($12) !!!

It really has that truffle aroma & it wasn't too cheesy as compared to Lola's cafe's version!

For the same price, I will definitely go for this one instead~

Definitely not to be missed!

I am not even exaggerating, I saw some guy walked in alone, scrolling his smart phone (as usual), with just a basket of truffles fries in front of him just like that~

I think this is evidently enough how good it is~!!

YUMYUM~ I heart truffle fries!!

We heard it is also one of the popular dishes here that every one orders!

Which is pretty true, I do see a basket of fries at every table!!

3. Eggs Royale ($17)

J got this, nothing could go wrong with eggs (mostly)

hehe, it was poached eggs with salmon cushioned with a bun below!

& Damn it was good! the salmon and the eggs and the bun complemented well.

The salmon was a little buttered so it was taste just right  if you eat them with the bun/salad!

there's just something about poached eggs, don't you agree?

& that's all for the night, what a place for some peace & yummy food~

Overall, it's not the cheapest meal you can find but it is definitely one of the must go places!

Really, it's ambiance and the comfort how how yummy simple food can be.

I will definitely come again, for the truffle fries!!

Well the mains are pretty up to standard too, it's worth the price we paid~

A place for couples or and small group of friends, if you prefer seating outdoor, there is a few tables as well~

One thing I felt they could change could be the doors,

it's not an automated door, so please be considerate when you come in the cafe, please also remember to close the door behind you as you come in okay!

If not the noise from the outside can really dampen the mood from the inside...

It's's a place I'd want to hang out with your friends for some tea & pastries!

Or even a place for individual to grab a magazine & have some muffins  with tea ^^

Okay, anyway I have blogged about The Hummingbird before, see here

Basically it's really flavorful, thick, rich  moist.

Hummingbird taste very much like carrot cake if you are wondering what it is all about

But I'll recommend you to share this with a friends or 2, cause it's quite a big slice~

& Since it was freshly baked, we got Blueberry Cake

It's really shaped like a pretty sunflower, so pretty~

Personally find this cake a little plain, meh~

I was expecting it to taste really heavenly but I guess, it more of like a simple butter cake with generous blueberries on top and bottom~

Maybe they should come up with blueberries & lemon flavour, cause I do know that blueberries itself does not bring much flavour on it's own, but it still looked rlly pretty no doubt!

Overall Verdict: A Must Try Place (yummy cupcakes with great ambience!!)

Honestly, I did had a hard time deciding which to eat 

Spoilt for choices from cupcakes, cakes, tarts, tea cakes and even brownie!!??

It's definitely a girl's version of what heavenly comfort food is all about~

& I was so determined to have some cupcakes to takeaway but I was feeling so bloated,

I couldn't even move~

Please don't get me wrong, these pastries are Awesome!

& they are really generous with their serving! 

A big plus point & considering how the quality is good as well~

Their cupcakes are rlly good too ^^

2 girls with 2 cakes, is really one of a kind experience & especially so after we ate out lunch~!

I am not even joking, cakes does make you feel full

So I'll recommend you to get a cake and maybe some tarts/ muffins to share instead of 2 cakes

Which is really gonna make you really bloated & too sweet after awhile~

you just gotta buy a jar, add your own milk/eggs stir these in & bake it~ 

fuss free eh!

they even have a section where they sell cards, coasters, little books.

perfect or gifting this coming Christmas~

Paid $14.40 for both slices, totally worth it.

The Ambience was really good, especially with those wooden furniture & open siting concept was really cozy!!

Loving this place, definitely coming back to try more of their stuffs!
